Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Imbolc. I was trying to manifest spring and sunshine, but unfortunately my city just had our first major snow. So I’ve been working a lot inside, setting goals for the new month, and prepping for this weekends new moon. When I sit down to do any kind of ritual or witchy stuff I have to set the mood. This involves candles, incense, my tarot cards, and of course music! Find my favorite witchy songs below.
Brujas – Princess Nokia: This may be my no. 1 witch hype song. When I’m trying to manifest some serious confidence and bitchery, I blast this song in the car, shower, or when I’m getting ready in the morning. I also love it as a way to celebrate all the many different traditions of witchcraft. Also, let’s be honest: the magic of Brujas has been practiced long before European witchcraft.
Close Your Eyes – Kim Petras: I discovered this song just before Halloween and it is such a adrenaline inducing bop. I feel all-powerful and badass when I listen to this song.
Sage – be steadwell: This is a fun, witty song that I play when I’m vibing with myself and my wiccan path. It’s also one of my mother’s favorite songs. My favorite lyrics from this song are:

home with you – FKA twigs: I don’t know why, but this has been my go-to ritual song for several weeks now. It is very calmingly and easy to listen to, it is especially perfect because the vocals seem to fade into the music, so I am not easily distracted by the words when I am trying to focus on my ritual.
Don’t Hurt Yourself – Beyonce: I don’t make it a habit to practice curses or spells that incite a lot of negativity or harm, but if I did I would listen to this song. This is my “I will murder your soul which I can do because I’m pagan” song. Like my “how fucking dare you” song? My “you’ve been cursed song.”
Organs – Pussy Riot: This is an anti-capitalist, anti-government, feminist, queer positive, anti-toxic masc bullshit song and I’m here for it. This song is great for me when I’m particularly feeling the sting of America’s current administration. Democracy is dead (RIP). This song helps me cope and empowers me to riot. Favorite lyrics below:

Masquerade – Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Soundtrack: This one is just fun and I like to throw it on my playlists. I LOVE the new Sabrina series and I’m a big fan of musicals – particularly Phantom of the Opera – so this was an easy pick for me. Also, this scene was *kisses fingers* perfect. Any other hardcore Sabrina fans
Gods & Monsters – Lana Del Rey: I think about Lillith and Hekate when I hear this song. It reminds me of a dramatized version of the origin of femme witchcraft.
